Noah’s Pact

Robbie Book is very pleased to announce the publication of his thrilling debut novel ‘Noah’s Pact’.

Written in collaboration with Bafta-winning author Keith Tutt, ‘Noah’s Pact’ tells the story of Conrad Cryer, orphan of the Titanic disaster, as he pursues revenge and shipbuilding success across the first fifty years of the twentieth century.

Love, tragedy, genius, prejudice and murder all play their parts in this breathless sweep as Conrad navigates the trials of his risk-laden life. And, of course, there is cricket in the form of a traumatic Ashes tour.

Robbie’s first book has already garnered excellent early reviews …

“With its Faustian, Conradian and Biblical echoes, this is a novel that entwines many strands and I am sure ‘Noah’s Pact’ will engage readers as much as it did myself.”

Giles Foden – Author, ‘The Last King of Scotland’

Professional and Press Reviews

There’s real depth to Conrad’s character, from that traumatised eleven-year-old boy losing both parents to the man struggling with his own moral compromises later in life.

Your period detail is excellent throughout. Whether it’s the shipyards of Sunderland, the university settings, the legal proceedings, or the social conventions around courtship and class, you’ve clearly done your research and it shows.

Patrick Walsh, Founder of Publishing Push

The character work, particularly the dynamic between Conrad Cryer and Aparna Shah, feels authentic and layered. There’s history there, tension and it’s all handled with a light touch that keeps the reader engaged.

Zane Elias, Grand Publishing

With its Faustian, Conradian and Biblical echoes, this is a novel that entwines many strands. It connects also to gambling and the aleatory nature of writing itself: all matters that interest me greatly, and I am sure ‘Noah’s Pact’ will engage other readers as much as it did myself.
